SMTP provides compatibility with outside addresses. External attachments use client-side encryption and expiring transfer links instead of becoming permanent mailbox storage.

Where compatibility changes the privacy boundary
Internet email must pass through SMTP systems outside QEYET. Those systems may process or retain message content according to their own policies. Native QEYET mail avoids that external path when both addresses are on QEYET.
Clear route labels
The product distinguishes native encrypted delivery from external MIME delivery. It does not describe ordinary Internet email as end-to-end encrypted.
