QeyeT — Above the Clouds
Thunderbird + QeyeT Classic
Thunderbird is the easiest desktop fit for Classic: it reads the server values automatically in most cases, and the manual table below covers the rest.
Fast path (autoconfig)
- Open Thunderbird and choose Add new account ▸ Email, or menu ▸ New ▸ Existing Mail Account.
- Enter your name, your full @qeyet.com address (e.g. ann@qeyet.com), and your password, then Re-test.
- Accept the detected config: IMAP
classic.qeyet.com:993SSL, SMTPclassic.qeyet.com:587STARTTLS, both authenticated. - Two-factor on? Create an app password at classic.qeyet.com under Use in other apps (it also serves the Thunderbird autoconfig XML from there) and paste it into both password fields.
Manual values
| Setting | Value |
|---|---|
| Incoming (IMAP) | classic.qeyet.com — 993 — SSL/TLS |
| Outgoing (SMTP) | classic.qeyet.com — 587 — STARTTLS — authentication: yes |
| Outgoing alternative | classic.qeyet.com — 465 — SSL/TLS — authentication: yes |
| Username | Your full address (same for IMAP and SMTP) |
| Calendar (CalDAV) | https://classic.qeyet.com/dav/cal |
| Contacts (CardDAV) | https://classic.qeyet.com/dav/card |
Thunderbird asks for a friendly name per account — any label works. If sync stalls, right-click the account ▸ Reload, or re-run Re-test in account settings.
